When the Body Becomes the Tool
COSH! member Abelone Wilhelmsen transforms her shop and window display into a sensory fashion installation for the Antwerp Fashion Festival 2026. The concept explores pressure, friction, and imprint as a starting point for design.
A hypnotic video loop playing behind a carefully composed window look makes the design process visually tangible. Inside the shop, a compact Pressure Index with material samples and short captions invites visitors to discover the language of materials: traces, layers, and repetition. Each festival day, a new numbered print card is introduced as a small collector’s item to take home.
Even after closing time, the shop window stays active as an after-hours street cinema, making slow fashion visible and accessible at street level around the clock.
A thoughtful, tactile experience for anyone curious about the intersection of craft, process, and sustainable design.
