2.5‑hour free embroidery workshop in Amsterdam
In this 2.5‑hour embroidery workshop, we’ll have fun learning how to embellish clothing with embroidery stitches. Whether you want to embroider flowers, letters, or other shapes—everything is possible. The session is suitable for beginners, but also enjoyable for experienced embroiderers who would like to experiment with Solufix.
What You’ll Learn During the Workshop
Which materials are best suited for embroidering on different types of garments — you’ll learn what works well for various fabrics.
How to transfer a pattern onto your fabric using Solufix. You can choose one of our sample patterns or draw your own design.
How to start embroidering without making a knot.
How to make embroidery stitches directly on clothing.
Materials
Bring your own piece of clothing!
You can bring a cap, bag, blouse, or T‑shirt—even a pair of fabric shoes if you like. We recommend bringing an item made from a tightly woven or knitted fabric.
Prefer to practise first? We have fabric swatches available for experimenting during the workshop.
All embroidery materials used during the session are included in the price.
If you’d like to continue practising at home, you can purchase additional materials in our studio.
Catering
Coffee, tea, and water are provided,
along with some delicious patisserie snacks.
