Turn Textile Offcuts into Festive Keepsakes
Charkha & Loom and Fifth Origins invite you to a cosy afternoon of slow craft in Amsterdam. Instead of buying mass-produced seasonal decorations, participants make their own from repurposed handloom textiles and luxury fabric offcuts.
In this hands-on two-hour workshop, you’ll learn simple textile techniques for turning fabric leftovers into hand-stitched Christmas tree ornaments, bag charms and festive gift accents. Everyone goes home with two to three handmade pieces to hang on the tree, clip onto a favourite tote or wrap up for someone special.
No sewing experience is needed. The workshop is beginner-friendly and open to ages 14 and up. You’re welcome to bring your own fabric scraps or heirloom buttons to work into your designs. The group is kept small so everyone gets personal guidance, and there’s a warm drink to go with it, which makes it an easy way to unwind before the holiday rush.
Places are strictly limited, so book early.
