Three Colours, Three Evenings
RE-GARDE believes in the power of making and experiencing things together. The Amsterdam studio has teamed up with Roua Atelier and food designer Aleksandra Ola Sliwinska to present Primary Colours. Across three evenings, colour, art, textiles and plant-based dining come together.
Each evening begins with a talk by a guest speaker, followed by a shared plant-based dinner and a guided workshop.
- Red / Roots (24 November): participants explore plant pigments and screen printing, and print their own scarf.
- Yellow / Light (15 December): the focus is botanical cyanotype, where plants and light create prints on a series of paper cards.
- Blue / Reflections (19 January): guests are introduced to indigo and Japanese shibori. They fold, bind and dye their own mini bandana.
Roua Alhalabi of Roua Atelier is originally from Syria. She builds on traditional dyeing techniques she learned from her grandmother, and she leads the workshops together with Lin Vermeire, whose RE-GARDE collections each start with a painting. Aleksandra is an interior architect, plant-based chef and food designer, and she creates the colour-inspired dinners. No experience is needed, and everyone goes home with a piece of their own. Guests can book a single evening or the complete series.
