PRODUCTION LOCATIONS
- Belgium
WORKING CONDITIONS & WAGES
Production takes place exclusively in Saskia’s own studio in Belgium, eliminating risks associated with global supply chains such as unclear working conditions or lack of transparency.
The metals used come from Fairmined-certified gold mines in Peru and Colombia. Although there are inherent risks due to unstable political structures or bureaucratic challenges, the Fairmined certification ensures more responsible mining practices and improved living and working conditions.
The brand is officially Fairmined-licensed and a member of international networks such as Ethical Jewelers and Fair Luxury, both promoting more responsible jewellery. Saskia has personally visited mines in South America and maintains close contact through Fairmined organisations. She also collaborates with initiatives such as Diamonds for Peace, active in Liberia, supporting responsible mining, the creation of alternative income sources, and local infrastructure improvements.
All jewellery is crafted exclusively in her Brussels studio. Each piece is made individually in collaboration with clients, allowing for bespoke orders, redesigns of gold and platinum jewellery.
Saskia maintains close relationships with her few suppliers, ensuring safe working conditions and full material traceability through personal contact and regular visits.
She also contributes to knowledge sharing.
The brand positions itself not merely as a jewellery maker, but as part of a wider movement advocating for transparency and responsibility in the industry.

PACKAGING
- For shipping, Saskia Shutt uses FSC-certified cardboard boxes, recycled paper, and packaging made in France and Germany. Business cards are made from cotton waste.
- Her packaging supplier provides sturdy FSC-certified boxes from responsibly managed forests to ensure safe delivery.
WATER & CHEMICALS
When cleaning metals, Saskia Shutt avoids harsh chemicals, using natural citric acid instead, reducing wastewater pollution and health risks.
The brand’s Fairmined certification also ensures that its precious metals come from mines with more responsible water, waste, and chemical management practices.
CIRCULAR PRODUCT DESIGN
As metals can be endlessly melted down and reused, they are inherently circular materials.
Clients can bring in old or unworn jewellery to be melted and redesigned into a new piece, preserving the material’s value while adding emotional and artisanal worth. Saskia frequently works with client-supplied gold and heirloom jewellery.
Thanks to in-house craftsmanship, repairs and adjustments can be carried out individually, enhancing product longevity and supporting circularity.
CIRCULAR BUSINESS MODELL
The brand focuses on bespoke jewellery production.
Clients may bring in their old or unworn pieces to be transformed into new designs – an effective circular model that fully preserves the material’s value.
