The design and screen printing is done in a small business in Miguelturra, Ciudad Real, and the tailoring is done in a small ethical workshop in Barcelona.

In this way they not only reduce the carbon footprint of transport, but they can also better control the production process, ensuring that everyone involved is treated correctly. And, as a bonus, they support the textile sector in Spain, which suffered greatly with the relocation of fashion companies in the 2000s, but now with Act and Be they have the chance to reinvent it thanks to the creation of new sustainable fashion companies.

Act and Be’s organic fabrics are selected with the utmost care to ensure that they are comfortable for sports, providing freedom of movement, support and comfort. 

They use organic cotton, which saves 80% of water compared to conventional cotton, and takes care of the soil and the people who work it by not using toxic pesticides and herbicides. 

Another of their fabrics is RPET or recycled polyester made from waste from the textile industry.

Bamboo fibre is another of their fabrics. Naturally antibacterial, this fabric has a very low environmental impact, as bamboo is very easy to grow and is biodegradable. It needs 3 times less water than cotton and does not require the use of pesticides because it is naturally protected.

In addition, they plant a tree for every order received on their website. This small effort helps them to compensate the CO2 of their business activity and to contribute to reforest different areas of the planet.

The generation of waste is a serious problem in the manufacture of clothing nowadays, which is why at Act and Be they take advantage of production leftovers and surplus from other brands to give them a second life by generating new RPET fabric or recycled polyester, thus giving a second life to pieces that were destined to end up in landfills.

100% of its production is local. From the fabrics to the manufacture of the garments, including the labels and packaging, everything is made in Spain. In this way, Act and Be is positioned not only as an ecological brand in terms of production, but the CO2 footprint generated is much lower as it is produced in local workshops and with sustainable materials. 

Act and Be does not use animal-derived fabrics! In other words, Act and Be is a brand that respects animal welfare.
