From Old Banners to Your New Favourite Bag
At NochMall in Berlin, old banners and flags get a second use as practical bags. In this relaxed sewing workshop, participants turn used banner and flag material into a handy pouch for cosmetics, sewing supplies or pens, and discover how supposed waste can become a real favourite piece.
No previous experience is needed. Materials, patterns and sewing machines are all ready and waiting. The workshop is a chance to get creative together, swap ideas and find inspiration, and everyone goes home with a one of a kind bag made with their own hands.
The session follows four simple steps: choosing a banner or flag, cutting and preparing the pieces, sewing and finishing the bag, and finally proudly presenting the new creation.
