A little more durable every year

By win­ter 2020, Maiu­m’s regu­lar rain­coat is made from 85% recy­cled PET and 15% PU and the puffy win­ter jac­ket con­sists of 90% recy­cled pol­yes­ter, the pad­ding inclu­ded. Both fun­ctio­nal rain­coats have a Pol­yuthe­ran coating. The water­proof mate­rials also carry the follo­wing sus­tai­na­bi­lity cer­ti­fi­ca­tes: Oeko­Tex which sta­tes that the­re are no harm­ful che­mi­cals in the final pro­duct, and the GRS (Glo­bal Recy­cling Stan­dard) which applauds their cir­cu­lar ambi­tions. In addi­tion, Maium is also com­ple­tely vegan as no ani­mal pro­ducts are used in its production.

Fair

The Chi­ne­se pro­du­cer of Maium holds the BSCI cer­ti­fi­ca­te. The lat­ter ensu­res good wor­king con­di­tions and a fair wage. To strengthen the rela­tionship Maium visits the fac­tory at least once a year to learn more about how and whe­re the coats are pro­du­ced, to dis­cuss new designs and to work on even bet­ter cooperation.
