Workshop ​“Textile production waste: potential for new surfaces”

Fan­cy a prac­ti­cal explo­ra­ti­on of the poten­ti­al of was­te from texti­le pro­duc­ti­on and thin­king abo­ut inno­va­ti­ve solu­ti­ons? In this 2‑day wor­k­shop, you will focus on the explo­ra­ti­on and design of yar­ns and sur­fa­ces using vari­ous texti­le tec­h­niqu­es such as spin­ning, weaving, knit­ting, sewing, fel­ting, croc­he­ting and more.

The lab’s equ­ip­ment is ava­ila­ble to you during the wor­k­shop. The­re is also the oppor­tu­nity to get a tas­te of new tec­h­niqu­es and com­bi­ne them with your prac­ti­ce in the long term.

This wor­k­shop is aimed at desig­ners, artis­ts and all other texti­le-craft prac­ti­ti­oners and inte­res­ted par­ti­es. It is impor­tant that you are pro­fi­ci­ent in at least one selec­ted texti­le tec­h­nique and are open to expe­ri­men­tal and open-ended work. You are also wel­co­me to bring your own lef­to­ver mate­ri­al!
