Clot­hing Repa­ir and Refur­bi­sh­ment Wor­k­shop

This cre­ati­ve wor­k­shop invi­tes par­ti­ci­pants to repa­ir, refresh, and rede­sign the­ir clot­hing ins­te­ad of dis­car­ding it. Led by expe­ri­en­ced desig­ner Sigrid Mün­z­berg, the sessi­on focu­ses on prac­ti­cal skil­ls and cre­ati­ve appro­ac­hes to exten­ding the life of garments.

Par­ti­ci­pants will learn a ran­ge of clot­hing repa­ir tec­h­niqu­es, inclu­ding how to fix holes, tears, and worn are­as to make gar­ments weara­ble aga­in. The wor­k­shop also intro­du­ces met­hods for embel­li­shing and cus­to­mi­zing clot­hing using dif­fe­rent mate­ri­als and deco­ra­ti­ve tec­h­niqu­es, allowing each piece to be tran­sfor­med into somet­hing per­so­nal and unique.

In addi­ti­on, the wor­k­shop hig­hlig­h­ts the impor­tan­ce of sus­ta­ina­ble fashi­on and demons­tra­tes how repa­ir and upcy­cling can con­tri­bu­te to a more envi­ron­men­tal­ly con­s­ci­ous way of con­su­ming clothing.

No regis­tra­ti­on is requ­ired. Par­ti­ci­pants are enco­ura­ged to bring the­ir own gar­ments, sewing sup­pli­es if ava­ila­ble, and an open­ness to expe­ri­ment. The wor­k­shop is suita­ble for begin­ners as well as expe­ri­en­ced sewers.
