Dut­ch Sus­ta­ina­ble Fashi­on Week in Bre­da: Mara­vil­la Stu­di­os x Blo­esem Vin­ta­ge In-Sto­re Upcy­cling Session.

This week is Dut­ch Sus­ta­ina­ble Fashi­on Week, the week in which we cele­bra­te sus­ta­ina­ble fashi­on. On Fri­day, Octo­ber 13^th, Blo­esem Vin­ta­ge (@bloesemvintage) & Mara­vil­la Stu­di­os (@a.la.maravilla) are hos­ting an in-sto­re sessi­on whe­re Yasmi­ne will live upcy­cle clot­hing or items bro­ug­ht by you or pur­c­ha­sed in the sto­re using her per­so­na­li­zed cal­li­grap­hy. You can cho­ose to have your ini­ti­als or cool fre­ehand sha­pes, among other opti­ons. The sessi­on will take pla­ce from 12:00 to 18:00 in the Blo­esem Vin­ta­ge sto­re in Breda.

Yasmi­ne van Maasak­ker (Mara­vil­la Stu­di­os) explo­res the the­me of ​‘taking time’ in her work. Cal­li­grap­hy, a medi­ta­ti­ve craft, is a prac­ti­ce that for­ces her to slow down, requ­iring pre­ci­si­on and atten­ti­on. In her work, the sha­pe of the let­ter is the star­ting point, allowing the reada­bi­lity and meaning of the let­ter to fade away. This pla­ces the focus on craf­t­sman­ship, deta­ils, and materials.

Blo­esem Vin­ta­ge is a vin­ta­ge sto­re for modern times. The col­lec­ti­on con­sis­ts of vin­ta­ge items with a modern look. They appe­ar as if you could find them rig­ht on the high stre­et, but with the advan­ta­ges of vin­ta­ge: they are unique desig­ns, made from the finest fabrics, desig­ned for long-las­ting enjoyment. You can find the sto­re at Wil­lem­s­tra­at 21, in Bre­da, near the station.

Info: On thic­ker fabrics such as leat­her, suede, denim, or heavy cot­ton, the ink will be most visi­ble. Each sha­pe or let­ter takes 10 to 15 minu­tes to calligraph.
