Come to the State of Fashion Biennale in Arnhem!

On 17 May, Sta­te of Fashi­on orga­ni­ses a bien­ni­al under the the­me ​‘Ties that Bind’. It hig­hlig­h­ts cre­ati­ve prac­ti­ces in fashi­on, texti­les and con­tem­po­rary art from the Glo­bal South. You can expect a day of tal­ks, fashi­on shows and art installations.

This decen­tra­li­sed Sta­te of Fashi­on edi­ti­on, cura­ted by Louise Ben­net­ts and Rac­hel Ded­man in col­la­bo­ra­ti­on with Sun­ny Dolat, Kal­lol Dat­ta and Hanayrá Negre­iros, takes pla­ce in Arn­hem, Nairo­bi, Ben­ga­lu­ru and São Paulo. Ties that Bind explo­res the com­plexity of tra­di­ti­on, the power of ori­gi­nal knowled­ge, and the poli­ti­cal poten­ti­al of clothing.
