Night of Fashion

Tra­di­ti­onal­ly, the second Satur­day in June is the Nig­ht of Fashi­on: the 14^th edi­ti­on will take pla­ce on Satur­day 8 June in Modekwar­ti­er Arn­hem. The event by the cre­ati­ve entre­pre­ne­urs in Modekwar­ti­er Arn­hem intro­du­ces local resi­dents and the rest of the city (and far beyond) to the unique, arti­sa­nal pro­duc­ts made in the Modekwar­ti­er. The shops and stu­di­os will all be open during Nig­ht of Fashi­on; on the stre­ets and in the stu­di­os, visi­tors will be immer­sed in the atmosp­he­res of UNDERLAND.

The the­me of this 15^th edi­ti­on of Nig­ht of Fashi­on is UNDER­LAND, with Fashi­on Quar­ter entre­pre­ne­urs invi­ting everyo­ne to immer­se them­sel­ves in the­ir wor­ld. During this Nig­ht of Fashi­on, the main focus in the eve will be on art, cul­tu­re, fashi­on & craft. The­re will be an offi­ci­al ope­ning at 7pm in the heart of the Modekwar­ti­er at the inter­sec­ti­on near Zuij­ders and the Bak­bar. Then, all shops will be open until mid­nig­ht to wel­co­me visi­tors and tell the sto­ri­es behind the han­d­ma­de pro­duc­ts. On the stre­ets, entre­pre­ne­urs will enter­ta­in the public with catwalk shows, scre­en prin­ting ins­tal­la­ti­ons, exhi­bi­ti­ons and other fashi­on expe­ri­en­ces, among others. A feast for the eyes! The­re will also be live music at vari­ous spots in the dis­trict from 9.30pm.

June Fashi­on Mon­th

Nac­ht van de Mode is part of the pro­gram­me of June Fashi­on Mon­th Arn­hem, a mon­th brim­ming with fashi­on and design ini­ti­ati­ves in Arn­hem. Think of the ArtEZ finals, the Stoc­k­da­gen Arn­hem, but of cour­se also the Sta­te of Fashi­on Bien­na­le. For this edi­ti­on, the main loca­ti­on of Sta­te of Fashi­on Bien­na­le is in the Rem­bran­dt the­atre, just aro­und the cor­ner from the Modekwar­ti­er. In coope­ra­ti­on with Sta­te of Fashi­on, the­re will be a win­dow dis­play route in the Modekwar­ti­er: in June, you will see a spe­ci­al win­dow dis­play at eig­ht desig­ners with a pro­duct prin­ted with a silk-scre­en design by Faray Fayad. In addi­ti­on, the­re are vari­ous acti­vi­ti­es at cre­ati­ve entre­pre­ne­urs such as vin­ta­ge desig­ner clot­hing sales in the gar­den at Fro­ufro­u’s, Art & pre­lo­ved men’s fashi­on at gal­lery-gang and fashi­on & art with Laura Casas Val­le at tiSHōō.
