Why buy new clot­hes when everyt­hing you need is alre­ady out there?

At the THRIFT FLIP FES­TI­VAL, hos­ted by Ams­ter­dam’s ReSha­re Sto­re, the spo­tlig­ht is on upcy­cling second-hand texti­les. Dis­co­ver the end­less possi­bi­li­ti­es of tran­sfor­ming pre-loved clot­hing into somet­hing new.

The fes­ti­val kic­ks off with the laun­ch of the ReSha­re Sto­re’s exclu­si­ve Ate­li­er Col­lec­ti­on, featu­ring unique pieces made from unsel­la­ble dona­ted clot­hing. The­se gar­ments have been given a second life, craf­ted by five talen­ted volun­te­ers from the sto­re. Join ReSha­re Sto­re on Wed­ne­sday, Octo­ber 9, at 11 a.m. for the offi­ci­al unve­iling of the col­lec­ti­on, pre­sen­ted by its creators.

Thro­ug­ho­ut the four-day event, the ReSha­re Sto­re will also showca­se inde­pen­dent desig­ners who each bring the­ir own fla­ir to upcy­cling. They’ll dis­play the­ir cre­ati­ons in a pop-up shop at the front of the sto­re, giving visi­tors a chan­ce to see how second-hand texti­les can be tran­sfor­med into somet­hing enti­rely new.
