How sustainable is STORY mfg.?

STORY mfg. is a sustainable British fashion brand that was founded in 2013 and is completely vegan. The brand is run by a couple that works together with a permanent group of dyers, weavers, embroiderers and tailors in their studio in the Indian forest. It’s relatively transparent about the origins of each product and mainly uses non-toxic, sustainable materials and natural dyes. The company tries to drastically reduce waste, increase upcycling and recycling, and take durability and lifetime into account when it comes to product design. Unfortunately, there’s currently no complete overview of the totals and percentages of material use. We would also like to see more information about the brand’s supply chain. With a sustainability report with measurable results and more quality marks, STORY mfg. can certainly become an A in the future.
