Materials

The swim­ming trunks and swim­ming shorts for men and boys are made of the inno­va­ti­ve C‑Infinity fabric. The pol­yes­ter fabric exclu­si­vely desig­ned for Funky Trunks and Fun­ki­ta, con­sists of 47% pol­yethy­le­ne terephtha­la­te (PBT) and 53% pol­yes­ter. PBT is extre­mely strong and elas­tic, per­fect for swim­wear. Both of the fibres used come from plas­tic, and are thus depen­dent on fos­sil fuels. So, in prin­ci­ple, the fabric is not sus­tai­na­ble. But for swim­wear it is impor­tant that it is elas­tic and adap­ted to the weather con­di­tions, chlo­ri­ne, sun and a lot of move­ment. By wor­king with Ita­lian com­pany C‑Infinity, the Aus­tra­lian brand faci­li­ta­tes new inno­va­tions in swimwear. 

Funky Trunks’ swim­ming trunks and shorts are very elas­tic, dry quickly and breathe well. Funky Trunks ensu­res that your swim­wear does not lose its colour or sha­pe. The fabrics are digi­tally prin­ted, which means that no toxic subs­tan­ces end up in the water, neither during pro­duc­tion nor when swimming. 

Funky Trunks uses 70% recy­cled pol­yes­ter for its Eco C‑Infinity label. But the sus­tai­na­ble swim­wear brand has the ambi­tion to make their enti­re collec­tion out of recy­cled pol­yes­ter by 2025. We at COSH can only applaud this evolution! 

Ethical

Just like Fun­ki­ta, the eco­lo­gi­cal fabrics are made in Italy and the swim­ming cos­tu­mes are woven in China. 

Vegan

The swim­wear is 100% vegan and Cruelty Free. Ani­mal tes­ting is prohi­bi­ted and the swim shorts do not con­tain any ani­mal ingre­dients. So who are the swim shorts tes­ted on? The happy emplo­yees of the Funky Trunks team.
