Materials

The swim­ming trunks and swim­ming shorts for men and boys are made of the inno­va­ti­ve C‑Infinity fabric. The poly­es­ter fabric exclu­si­ve­ly desi­gned for Fun­ky Trunks and Fun­ki­ta, con­sists of 47% poly­ethy­le­ne tere­phtha­la­te (PBT) and 53% poly­es­ter. PBT is extre­me­ly strong and ela­s­tic, per­fect for swim­wear. Both of the fibres used come from pla­s­tic, and are thus depen­dent on fos­sil fuels. So, in prin­ci­ple, the fabric is not sus­tainable. But for swim­wear it is important that it is ela­s­tic and adapt­ed to the wea­ther con­di­ti­ons, chlo­ri­ne, sun and a lot of move­ment. By working with Ita­li­an com­pa­ny C‑Infinity, the Aus­tra­li­an brand faci­li­ta­tes new inno­va­tions in swimwear. 

Fun­ky Trunks’ swim­ming trunks and shorts are very ela­s­tic, dry quick­ly and brea­the well. Fun­ky Trunks ensu­res that your swim­wear does not lose its colour or shape. The fabrics are digi­tal­ly prin­ted, which means that no toxic sub­s­tances end up in the water, neither during pro­duc­tion nor when swimming. 

Fun­ky Trunks uses 70% recy­cled poly­es­ter for its Eco C‑Infinity label. But the sus­tainable swim­wear brand has the ambi­ti­on to make their enti­re coll­ec­tion out of recy­cled poly­es­ter by 2025. We at COSH can only applaud this evolution! 

Ethical

Just like Fun­ki­ta, the eco­lo­gi­cal fabrics are made in Ita­ly and the swim­ming cos­tu­mes are woven in China. 

Vegan

The swim­wear is 100% vegan and Cruel­ty Free. Ani­mal test­ing is pro­hi­bi­ted and the swim shorts do not con­tain any ani­mal ingre­di­ents. So who are the swim shorts tes­ted on? The hap­py employees of the Fun­ky Trunks team.
