Walk with me developed its own vegan leather alternative, ‘future-leather’, produced in Spain. The material is made of recycled polyamide and recycled polyester. Future-leather meets the standards of the Global Recycled Standard (GRS). This means that at least 20% of the final product must consist of recycled fibres.
This fake leather has a long lifespan thanks to the polyurethane (PU) coating applied to it. This coating gives the material a leather look, with a wide range of colours also available.
Moreover, future-leather is certified by OEKO-Tex. The fake leather hereby achieved the standard 100 label, meaning it does not contain any harmful substances.
For the woven straps, Walk with me cooperates with a Belgian production partner. This producer also has the GRS and OEKO-Tex standard 100 certificates. The straps are made of a mix of recycled denim, Tencel and polypropylene.
Finally, Walk with me also uses metal parts such as buckles and closures in the bags. These are also produced in Spain and are made of stainless steel.
