Desi­gner Ilse Evers con­scious­ly cho­se this mate­ri­al: old fire hoses do not beco­me was­te, but a new sus­tainable pro­duct. An Ever­som bag reminds you that so much more is pos­si­ble than you alre­a­dy know and that was­te can beco­me a beau­tiful new product.

The Dutch fire bri­ga­de uses count­less hoses to extin­gu­ish fires and if the­se are rejec­ted, they end up on the was­te moun­tain. This should be done dif­fer­ent­ly, becau­se the mate­ri­al is super strong and very easy to reu­se. In the social ate­lier of Ever­som in Rot­ter­dam, this mate­ri­al is given a second life. All bags and access­ories are made local­ly in Rot­ter­dam by peo­p­le with a uni­que sto­ry, who have a distance to the labor mar­ket or by Ilse herself.
