Sustainable Sewing Classes

If you have never sewn befo­re, this intro­duc­tory wor­k­shop is the per­fect pla­ce to start. Learn how to tran­sform second-hand mate­ri­als into unique, weara­ble pieces! The class will teach you how to use a sewing mac­hi­ne, work with pat­ter­ns, and build basic sewing skil­ls step by step.

At the begin­ning of the cour­se, you will cre­ate a sim­ple item such as:

• a bag

• a pen­cil case

• a pin cushion

• or a pillow

After fini­shing your first pro­ject, you can cho­ose what to cre­ate next. You will have access to guidan­ce and sup­port whe­ne­ver you need it.

Alre­ady have expe­ri­en­ce? Feel free to bring your own pro­ject and ask for help as needed!

You are wel­co­me to bring your own clot­hes to repa­ir or upcy­cle. We also offer a selec­ti­on of second-hand sus­ta­ina­ble fabrics.

• 6 sewing lessons, each 2 hours long (7:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.)

• 1 com­pli­men­tary spo­ol of thread

• Use of sewing mac­hi­nes, haber­da­shery, and thread

• Unli­mi­ted tea
