DSFW – Screen printing Workshops

Have you always wan­ted to learn scre­en prin­ting? This is your chan­ce! In the wor­k­shop, you’ll work with a piece of clot­hing you bring your­self. During the wor­k­shop, scre­en prin­ting mas­ter Saskia will help you cre­ate a cool new print for an old top using scre­en prin­ting tec­h­niqu­es. And you’ll do it with your own artwork!

In this texti­le scre­en prin­ting wor­k­shop, you will learn how to refresh your own shirt, hoodie, swe­ater, or jeans with your own print, including:

• how to pre­pa­re your own design
• a short lesson: the dif­fe­ren­ce in scre­en prin­ting fra­mes, applying emul­si­on to the scre­en, exposure
• expla­na­ti­on of dif­fe­rent types of ink
• inking the screen
• scre­en prin­ting your own design on fabric
• fixing the print
