OHNE: River Cleanup

The very first OHNE River Cle­anup on 24 Mar­ch will bring toget­her like-min­ded OHNE cus­to­mers – whet­her you are from Aalst, Ghent, Neve­le, Ter­nat, Zwalm or beyond – to con­tri­bu­te toget­her to a more beauti­ful envi­ron­ment.

At OHNE, you shop pac­ka­ging-free to avo­id need­less was­te and pol­lu­ti­on as much as possi­ble with the OHNE River Cle­anup, we go a step fur­t­her (or back?) and lite­ral­ly roll up our sleeves!

• 11AM – 1.30PM : BRUN­CH (OPTI­ONAL)
  • Enjoy a table full of OHNE deli­ca­ci­es!
    Than­ks to a lot of our bli­s­sful sup­pli­ers and the gol­den han­ds of T’al­lo­or, we love to pam­per you at the start of the day.
  • Join us on Sun­day 24 Mar­ch at the table at Bar Bri­co­la­ge in Ghent and get to know the OHNE family better.
  • Atten­ti­on: the num­ber of pla­ces is limited!
  • Impor­tant: regis­te­ring for the brun­ch is only possi­ble in com­bi­na­ti­on with the Cle­anup. Bar Bri­co­la­ge is loca­ted next to the star­ting point for the Cleanup.
  • Cost: 48 euros (Brun­ch + Cle­anup) / Child ‑12 years: 15 euros (Brun­ch + Cleanup)

• 13:30 – 14:00 : INTRO & KICK-OFF CLEANUP
  • You’ll get a word in advan­ce abo­ut dirt fishing, recy­cling, safe boating and the boating chart. That way we can all get on the water safely and smoothly.
  • Meet up at Hout­dok (the Kapi­te­in Zep­pos Park) in Ghent.
  • Cost: 20 euros / Child ‑12 years: free

• 14H-15H : BOATING, WAL­KING AND DIRT FISHING
  • We sail towar­ds Por­tus Gan­da as pro­fe­ssi­onal rub­bish fisher­men: fish as much rub­bish out of the water as possi­ble and try to cat­ch the ​‘cat­ch of the day’. Who­ever cat­c­hes the most ori­gi­nal piece of rub­bish will win a prize.‍
  • Cano­eis­ts have the chan­ce to swap with wal­kers at Por­tus Gan­da and vice versa.

• 15H-16H : BACK TO START
  • We will then sail back to Hout­dok. After the canoe trip, our cat­ch will be sor­ted and weig­hed. We are curi­ous to see which recor­ds we will see bro­ken today. Afterwar­ds, it is of cour­se time for our pri­ze-giving ceremony.
  • The team that mana­ged to col­lect the most was­te per per­son will be rewar­ded with a ​“cra­te full of OHNE”: 100% fil­led with bli­s­sful­ly sus­ta­ina­ble pro­duc­ts, all plas­tic-free of cour­se! The team that sor­ted the best and that with the most ori­gi­nal find will also rece­ive a nice prize.
