What: Clot­hes swap par­ty, lec­tu­re seri­es, repa­ir and upcy­cling wor­k­shops for stu­dents

15:00 – 16:00 & 18:00 – 20:00 Clot­hes swap par­ty for stu­dents

Come along and swap your old clot­hes. Bring a maxi­mum of 5 clot­hes to swap. No clot­hes with holes, sta­ins or bro­ken seams, and no chil­dren’s clot­hes. 

16:15 – 17:45 Lec­tu­re seri­es for stu­dents ​“The Gre­en Thre­ad”: Reality Check: How sus­ta­ina­ble is fashion?

From mate­ri­als and our con­su­mer beha­vi­our to sup­po­sed indus­try solu­ti­ons such as recy­cling: in this lec­tu­re seri­es, Tani­ta Hec­king from Fashi­on Revo­lu­ti­on Ger­many e.V. takes a mul­ti-laye­red look at sus­ta­ina­bi­lity in fashi­on. She deco­des nar­ra­ti­ves that deter­mi­ne today’s dis­co­ur­se on sus­ta­ina­bi­lity and sheds lig­ht on the res­pon­si­bi­lity that com­pa­ni­es and indi­vi­du­als bear.

18:00 – 20:00 Repa­ir and upcy­cling wor­k­shop for stu­dents 

Fashi­on desig­ners Lea & Lisa from Vand­la design will help with minor repa­irs like repa­iring holes or sewing on but­tons and small adjus­t­ments such as shor­te­ning gar­ments, etc.. You can also take advan­ta­ge of an upcy­cling & re-styling con­sul­ta­ti­on! Bring your belo­ved clot­hes that are still in good con­di­ti­on, but that you no lon­ger wear beca­use of style or fit. Toget­her with the desig­ners, you can think abo­ut re-styling so that you can wear them aga­in with love and pri­de.
