Upcycle workshop: Crochet a rug

Today we are going to upcy­cle with lef­to­ver fabrics. We will use old she­ets, duvet covers and other lef­to­ver fabric that would otherwi­se end up on the big rub­bish heap. We will croc­het a rug, which you can take home afterwards!

De Modes­tra­at is an artis­tic bre­eding gro­und and a meeting pla­ce for the neig­h­bo­ur­ho­od on Buik­s­lo­ter­me­er­ple­in in Ams­ter­dam Nor­th. Artis­ts and soci­al entre­pre­ne­urs ali­ke have wor­k­pla­ces in the studios.

At the Wissel­bo­eti­ek, you can swap your clot­hes for a new vin­ta­ge find. At the sewing stu­dio, you can learn how to turn that find into a com­ple­tely new creation.
