Sussy Summer Bar Photo Expo

This weekend, SUSSY Sum­mer Bar in Bor­ger­ho­ut opens its doors to a stri­king pho­to expo­si­ti­on that puts a human face on the cli­ma­te cri­sis. The show is part of the EU Cli­ma­te Pact (Our Pla­net EU) and coin­ci­des with the Euro­pe­an Day for the Vic­tims of the Glo­bal Cli­ma­te Cri­sis, brin­ging toget­her the work of pho­to­grap­hers Simo­ne Pado­va­ni and Illir Tsouso.

Thro­ugh the­ir len­ses, visi­tors tra­vel across Sout­hern Euro­pe to wit­ness the after­math of flo­ods, stor­ms and other cli­ma­te disas­ters. Yet this is more than docu­men­tary repor­ta­ge: each ima­ge tra­ces a deeply per­so­nal story, reve­aling the las­ting tra­uma that con­ti­nu­es to sha­pe sur­vi­vors’ lives long after the water has rece­ded.
 

The exhi­bi­ti­on invi­tes you to slow down, look clo­sely and reflect on what a war­ming pla­net alre­ady means for the people living thro­ugh it, and on the cho­ices we make next. Come for the pho­to­grap­hy, stay for the conver­sa­ti­on, and raise a glass at the sum­mer bar afterwards.
