Open Men­ding Workshop

Join the men­ding wor­k­shop led by Jan Mic­ha Gamer and explo­re the art of visi­ble men­ding. Learn how to repa­ir holes, tears, and sta­ins in clot­hing whi­le tur­ning each repa­ir into a cre­ati­ve statement.

Bring dama­ged gar­ments to the wor­k­shop and dis­co­ver how to repa­ir and cus­to­mi­ze them by hand. The focus is on pre­ser­ving the unique his­tory of each piece and giving it new meaning thro­ugh visi­ble repairs.

No pre­vi­ous expe­ri­en­ce is nece­ssary. All mate­ri­als and tools are pro­vi­ded than­ks to the sup­port of BSR. The wor­k­shop wel­co­mes begin­ners and expe­ri­en­ced sewers ali­ke, offe­ring an oppor­tu­nity to prac­ti­ce visi­ble repa­ir tec­h­niqu­es and unle­ash creativity.

Open to par­ti­ci­pants aged 12 and over, the wor­k­shop com­bi­nes prac­ti­cal skil­ls with awa­re­ness of sus­ta­ina­bi­lity and indi­vi­du­ality. Explo­re the joy of repa­iring and desig­ning in this han­ds-on dar­ning wor­k­shop. Regis­tra­ti­on is not required.
