Good for you
Eating vegan has a number of health benefits such as lower blood pressure (in turn reduces the risk of heart disease, type 2 diabetes, etc.)., improved energy (animal cholesterol/fat clogs arteries), improved gut health (number of knock-on effects including a better working immune system), and even healthier weight.
Good for the planet
Eating vegan is the most sustainable way to eat. Diets with meat and fish have worse carbon, water, and ecological footprints than vegan diets. For example, it takes approx 15 000 litres of water to make just 1kg of beef, compared to the 322 litres for 1kg of vegetables. A huge amount of land space is also used to grow feed for the animals which could be used to feed humans instead.
AND DELICIOUS!
So what are you waiting for?!
