How sustainable is Tezenis?

Teze­nis is a lin­ge­rie brand owned by Cal­ze­do­nia Group, an Ita­lian com­pany that owns five Ita­lian brands.The com­pany offers very limi­ted trans­pa­rency. The­re is a sus­tai­na­bi­lity report for the mother com­pany in gene­ral, but it is in Ita­lian and does not reveal much rele­vant data about the com­pany. The infor­ma­tion pro­vi­ded is insuf­fi­cient and pro­vi­des no evi­den­ce of actual efforts for impro­ve­ment. Cal­ze­do­nia has sig­ned the Fashion Pact, which is a step in the right direc­tion towards cli­ma­te action. But with currently no spe­ci­fic tar­gets or mea­su­res in pla­ce or any infor­ma­tion about wor­kers and ani­mal rights, we worry about the actual mecha­nics of the com­pany.

When a brand offers no infor­ma­tion about its ope­ra­tions, the­re are seve­ral risks you take as a con­su­mer. For exam­ple, the cli­ma­te impact of that par­ti­cu­lar brand or pro­duct can be much higher com­pa­red to industry peers. The com­pany might use cer­tain harm­ful che­mi­cals or the­re might be ani­mals or humans har­med for the manu­fac­tu­ring of the pro­duct. For the­se reasons, we belie­ve that you should be awa­re of how pro­ducts are pro­du­ced and how a com­pany as a who­le ope­ra­tes in regard to our pillars. Cal­ze­do­nia Group does not seem to sha­re the same opi­nion at the moment. Hope­fully this will be dif­fe­rent in the futu­re. When the­re are no reports, you are at risk of sup­por­ting some or more of the harm­ful con­di­tions men­tio­ned above.
