From Old Banners to Your New Favourite Bag

At Noch­Mall in Ber­lin, old ban­ners and flags get a second use as prac­ti­cal bags. In this rela­xed sewing workshop, par­ti­ci­pants turn used ban­ner and flag mate­rial into a handy pouch for cos­me­tics, sewing sup­plies or pens, and dis­co­ver how sup­po­sed was­te can beco­me a real favou­ri­te piece.

No pre­vious expe­rien­ce is nee­ded. Mate­rials, pat­terns and sewing machi­nes are all ready and wai­ting. The workshop is a chan­ce to get crea­ti­ve together, swap ideas and find ins­pi­ra­tion, and ever­yo­ne goes home with a one of a kind bag made with their own hands.

The ses­sion follows four sim­ple steps: choo­sing a ban­ner or flag, cut­ting and pre­pa­ring the pie­ces, sewing and finishing the bag, and finally proudly pre­sen­ting the new creation.
