Good night
Designing and making clothes is in the genes of Leticia Credidio. Her Venetian grandmother was a seamstress by profession and made Leticia’s sleepwear and ballet costumes. Later Leticia worked for various NGOs and environmental projects. There she got to know the problems of the fashion industry. Because she wanted to get rid of her creative egg somewhere, she started her own label: Leticia Credidio. A brand with sleepwear for both men and women, made from the most sustainable materials.
Eco dreamland
Leticia Credidio’s nightwear is made from 100% natural materials, including Modal, Cupro and organic cotton. The brand also uses the innovative SeaCellTM in a blend with OEKO-TEX Micromodal. Seacell is made from a combination of 95% lyocell and 5% seaweed. The seaweed is grown by Smartfibres at the Lenzing Group plantations. The product, therefore, undergoes the same procedure as Lyocell and is fully Oekotex 100 certified and therefore chemical-free. On top of that, it is also very good for your health, because the material also passes on nutritious substances such as vitamins, amino acids and minerals to your body. How cool is that? For other collections, the brand uses a blend of organic cotton and lyocell.
The use of plastic and the disposal of substances is not done for this brand. This way it uses up all the fabrics. Leticia Credidio does this for example by using it as packaging. If there is not enough fabric leftover, the brand simply collects fabric at a recycling point in London. Zero Waste? Double yes!
Circular? Ethical?
All garments are made of the same material, making them easy to recycle.
________
The clothing comes into its own in a workshop in Emila Romagna, Italy. There, the seamstresses work in fair working conditions and receive a good salary for their services.
