In Lop­pem (Zedel­gem) you find the clot­hing shop Mach­teld. Foun­ded by Mach­teld and later sup­port­ed by her hus­band Luc de Maeght. Both have been acti­ve in the fashion indus­try for years and are very pas­sio­na­te about clot­hing. Even more, fashion and design runs in Luc’s blood.

Mach­teld has a wide ran­ge of women’s and men’s clot­hing and the store radia­tes class and tran­quil­li­ty. Sus­taina­bi­li­ty is not direct­ly com­mu­ni­ca­ted by the shop, but for Luc de Maeght this is cer­tain­ly a top prio­ri­ty. He pre­vious­ly deve­lo­ped a uni­que eco­lo­gi­cal washing pro­cess for a Bel­gi­an jeans brand, and sus­taina­bi­li­ty is also cen­tral to his new own brand, Share the Pas­si­on. Share the Pas­si­on sells sus­tainable mouth masks, home­wear and shoes. The white blank snea­k­ers of the brand can be per­so­na­li­sed with a design from Luc hims­elf. This way you have uni­que, sus­tainable sneakers.

In the store, you can also find orga­nic cot­ton T‑shirts by Paul Smith, and the sus­tainable Bask in the Sun. You’ll also find Xacus, an Ita­li­an brand that sells 2 lines of GOTS cer­ti­fied shirts and shirts from recy­cled Japa­ne­se fishing nets. 

Mach­teld also offers you tim­e­l­ess Bel­gi­an clot­hing labels such as Dame Blan­che, Just in Case, Julia June, and Liv the Label. In short, you have a wide choice of qua­li­ty clot­hing at Machteld. 

Are you loo­king for an ever­y­day suit to wear at work or are you loo­king for some­thing more sophisti­ca­ted such as a wed­ding suit? At Mach­teld, they always make sure that you look con­fi­dent and per­fect­ly styled. 

The shop is easi­ly acces­si­ble by both public trans­port and by car. A nice addi­ti­on: if you come with an elec­tric car, you can quick­ly char­ge it at the car park during your visit. It is also important that the shop is ful­ly wheel­chair acces­si­ble!
