How sustainable is Next Step?

You can use the reusable bags Next Step for anything you want: buying fruit and vegetables, rice, pulses, pasta and flour in bulk. You can also use them to store your socks when you go on a trip, those cumbersome cables, wrap presents… anything you can think of!
They are made from recycled materials, thus avoiding taking more resources from our planet, making use of other people’s waste, preventing it from being incinerated or landfilled and reducing the use of water and energy needed for their production.
The cotton used in the bags Next Step is taken from pre-consumer remnants that are usually discarded in textile factories. In order to reuse these shorter fibres, they must be blended with other more resistant materials such as, in our case, polyester. This polyester comes from post-consumer sources such as recycled PET bottles.
The bags Next Step are particularly strong because they are made from a single piece of fabric and double stitched. Their dyes do not contain any substances harmful to health or pollutants.
