How sustainable is Hemper?

Hem­per was born from a trip to Nepal where they dis­co­ve­red hemp as a way to create sus­tai­nable pro­ducts. The pro­ducts Hem­per are woven in Mohan’s work­shop with shut­tle hand­looms and made in a col­lec­tive work­shop in Baj­hang (Boud­ha­nil­ka­tha, Kath­man­du). The people of this com­mu­ni­ty come from rural areas and belong to the seg­ment of socie­ty with fewer resources and even without basic edu­ca­tion. But they know that the back­packs they sew eve­ry day cross the world until they reach your home.
