STORY mfg. is a sus­tai­na­ble Bri­tish fashion brand that was foun­ded in 2013 and is com­ple­tely vegan. The brand is run by a couple that works together with a per­ma­nent group of dyers, wea­vers, embroi­de­rers and tai­lors in their stu­dio in the Indian forest. It’s rela­ti­vely trans­pa­rent about the ori­gins of each pro­duct and mainly uses non-toxic, sus­tai­na­ble mate­rials and natu­ral dyes. The com­pany tries to dras­ti­cally redu­ce was­te, increa­se upcy­cling and recy­cling, and take dura­bi­lity and life­ti­me into account when it comes to pro­duct design. Unfor­tu­na­tely, there’s currently no com­ple­te over­view of the totals and per­cen­ta­ges of mate­rial use. We would also like to see more infor­ma­tion about the brand’s supply chain. With a sus­tai­na­bi­lity report with mea­su­ra­ble results and more qua­lity marks, STORY mfg. can cer­tainly beco­me an A in the future.
