The design and screen prin­ting is done in a small busi­ness in Miguel­tur­ra, Ciu­dad Real, and the tail­oring is done in a small ethi­cal work­shop in Bar­ce­lo­na.

In this way they not only redu­ce the car­bon foot­print of trans­port, but they can also bet­ter con­trol the pro­duc­tion pro­cess, ensu­ring that ever­yo­ne invol­ved is trea­ted cor­rect­ly. And, as a bonus, they sup­port the tex­ti­le sec­tor in Spain, which suf­fe­r­ed great­ly with the relo­ca­ti­on of fashion com­pa­nies in the 2000s, but now with Act and Be they have the chan­ce to reinvent it thanks to the crea­ti­on of new sus­tainable fashion companies.

Act and Be’s orga­nic fabrics are sel­ec­ted with the utmost care to ensu­re that they are com­for­ta­ble for sports, pro­vi­ding free­dom of move­ment, sup­port and comfort. 

They use orga­nic cot­ton, which saves 80% of water com­pared to con­ven­tio­nal cot­ton, and takes care of the soil and the peo­p­le who work it by not using toxic pesti­ci­des and herbicides. 

Ano­ther of their fabrics is RPET or recy­cled poly­es­ter made from was­te from the tex­ti­le indus­try.

Bam­boo fib­re is ano­ther of their fabrics. Natu­ral­ly anti­bac­te­ri­al, this fabric has a very low envi­ron­men­tal impact, as bam­boo is very easy to grow and is biode­gra­da­ble. It needs 3 times less water than cot­ton and does not requi­re the use of pesti­ci­des becau­se it is natu­ral­ly protected.

In addi­ti­on, they plant a tree for every order recei­ved on their web­site. This small effort helps them to com­pen­sa­te the CO2 of their busi­ness acti­vi­ty and to con­tri­bu­te to refo­rest dif­fe­rent are­as of the planet.

The gene­ra­ti­on of was­te is a serious pro­blem in the manu­fac­tu­re of clot­hing nowa­days, which is why at Act and Be they take advan­ta­ge of pro­duc­tion lef­to­vers and sur­plus from other brands to give them a second life by gene­ra­ting new RPET fabric or recy­cled poly­es­ter, thus giving a second life to pie­ces that were desti­ned to end up in landfills.

100% of its pro­duc­tion is local. From the fabrics to the manu­fac­tu­re of the garm­ents, inclu­ding the labels and pack­a­ging, ever­y­thing is made in Spain. In this way, Act and Be is posi­tio­ned not only as an eco­lo­gi­cal brand in terms of pro­duc­tion, but the CO2 foot­print gene­ra­ted is much lower as it is pro­du­ced in local work­shops and with sus­tainable materials.
